What is the best way to clean jewelry?
Sterling Silver can be cleaned with a jewelers’ cloth. These cloths have been imbedded with special cleansing agents and non-scratching micro-abrasives. Your better cloths are usually impregnated on one side with red jewelers’ rouge for polishing and cleaning surface oxidation, the other side can be used for final polishing. These cloths may also be used to brighten chrome, ceramic, wood, glass, and hard plastics. NEVER dip any of our jewelry into a liquid cleaning solution. Most liquid polishing chemicals are too harsh for these delicate pieces. It is always best to keep “fine silver” protected in closed containers when not in use. (We can provide you with a high quality jewelers' cloth for $14.95).

Bali Silver, from Indonesia, has been antiqued and then coated with a special finish that will be damaged with harsh cleaners. Always use a jewelers’ cloth.

Generally, 14 KT Gold or Gold Filled, will not tarnish under normal circumstances. Gold vermeil is 24 KT Gold, overlayed on top of Sterling Silver and it is also protected. Sometimes Gold can become dull. Use a
jewelers’ cloth to bring back the shine.

Our watch faces are pre-coated with a lacquer finish to protect them from tarnishing, they simply need a soft jewelers’ cloth to buff them up from time to time. Do not use any silver paste cleaners on them.

Any of the glass beads or Swarovrski© Crystals simply need a gentle rubbing from a soft cloth to bring back their luster.

What credit cards do you accept?
We accept VISA, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MasterCard, and PayPal. We also accept payment through checks or money orders.

With the jewelry pieces, what if the size I receive doesn’t fit me?
If you receive a bracelet, necklace or watch that doesn’t fit in size, a $15.00 restocking fee will be charged along with any new shipping charges. There are no cash refunds, you will receive a credit of equal value towards a different piece of your choice. The exchanged piece must be returned in its original condition. If the error is Fire Gems Studio, then we will exchange the piece at no charge to you.

What is your exchange/return policy?
It is VERY rare that any of our clients ever ask to return or exchange our art. In general, because of our high quality craftsmanship, photography, and detailed written descriptions, all sales are final. Fire Gems Studio is fair and reasonable, we provide the best possible service to all of our valued clients. If a problem is reported immediately upon you receiving the item, and if the reason for returning it is valid, we will pay shipping and issue a credit to replace the item. If we are not at fault for the item being returned; we are not responsible for returned shipping and there will be a $10.00 processing fee charged. (There are no cash refunds).

NOTE: Any returned item must be sent by insured mail and in it's original condition.
(We do not accept C.O.D. packages).

What method of shipping do you use?
We ship throughout the continental United States via USPS, (United States Postal Service) Priority Mail. It generally takes 2-3 working days to arrive after shipment. (Alaska and Hawaii may take longer) If you require a different method of shipping, e-mail us to obtain a special price. (All items listed on this site do not include shipping costs until you have placed your order and you proceed to check out).

What exactly is Feng Shui?
In our sections on “Feng Shui Harmony,” and "Ba-gua Cures," you will find a more detailed explanation. But, basically it is a 7,000 year old Chinese practice of creating balance and harmony in your life with the use of color and the placement of things. It is a fascinating practice. Here at Fire Gems Studio, we have seen it improve lives time and time again. Our studio has been restored using Feng Shui principles. Give it a try, it is a phenomenal art. Can I contact Magda L. Csihás directly, and does she provide wholesale purchasing?

Do you ship C.O.D.?
We do not ship C.O.D orders. We also do not ship to P.O. Boxes, FPO's, or APO's.

Does your packaging include gift boxes?
All jewelry, Ba-gua Cures, and Threads Of Life® items are first wrapped in rich purple tissue paper, then placed in a decorative gold foil gift box with a cotton liner. The Mystical artwork is three-dimensional and much larger, they are not shipped in a gift box, but are carefully double-boxed for delicate stained glass shipping. Each item shipped includes a printed card with our company logo.

Do you have a catalog?
No. The artwork made here at the studio is not mass produced. Since each piece is hand made one at a time, trying to keep up with a current catalog would be too costly.

Can I purchase wholesale from Fire Gems Studio?
No, sorry, not at this time. Because our art pieces are made individually by hand and not machine made in anyway, it would not be cost effective.

How long will it take for you to ship my merchandise?
Our shipping time averages from 7 to 10 working days after payment has been verified. We know our clients are excited about their purchases and anxious to receive them. We do our best to ship as soon as possible.

Is there anything special I need to know concerning the care of your jewelry?
The jewelry you purchase from Fire Gems Studio is not just jewelry, it is art. Works of art like any others need special attention. Keep it away from young children, don’t wear it in water, be careful to store it properly and with simple basic care, you will be able to enjoy its lasting beauty for the rest of your life.

Can I place a special order for additional items from your “Bits & Bargains” section?
This section is generally for bargain specials or closeout items. If there are additional items from this section still in stock, we will be happy to check for you and try to accommodate your wishes.

I live in your general area, can I stop by and see your studio?
All visits to Fire Gems Studio are by appointment only. You must contact us and set up a definite appointment.

Is any of your jewelry machine made?
The pieces created at Fire Gems Studio are painstakingly made by hand, one at a time. There is no machine made work sold here.

How should I care for your three-dimensional Art Glass?
After the completion of our stained glass artwork and Ba-gua cures, we apply a special polish over the entire surface. Then we polish both the glass and the solder to a high luster. This polish is a protection against dirt, dust, and oils. DO NOT use a liquid glass cleaner on these items, it will damage this polish. All you need for cleaning the glass is a soft cloth to buff back the shine. Apply any basic silver polishing paste to the silver solder with a paper towel, let it sit for a few minutes, and buff it up to bring back the original luster.

Are your Torch Beads available for sale?
Not at this time. The glass beads we make here at the studio are labor intensive, we use them as fast as we can make them. In the future, there is the possibility that this could change. Keep checking back with us.
